Lasso^TM Professional 8.5.5 Now Available

LassoSoft is pleased to announce the release of Lasso Professional 8.5.5. This release includes Mac OS X 10.5 compatibility as well as minor fixes, updates, and documentation updates.

SubEthaEdit 3.0 Supports Lasso^TM

SubEthaEdit is a powerful and lean text editor for Mac OS X. It also includes collaboration features which make it possible for several members of a workgroup to edit one document at the same time. New version 3.0 includes built-in support for Lasso syntax coloring. See the Community Resources page for a list of Lasso-compatible editors.

Lasso^TM Professional 8.5.4 Update

LassoSoft is pleased to announce the immediate availability of Lasso Professional 8.5.4 and Lasso Developer 8.5.4.

Lasso Professional 8.5.4 is a free update to Lasso Professional 8.5 which is recommended for all users. This update includes a significant performance increase, an update to the Lasso Connector for FileMaker Server which improves compatibility with FileMaker Server 9, and SOAP enhancements. Consult the Lasso 8.5 Setup Guide and Lasso 8.5 Language Guide for information about the new features in this version.

Lasso^TM Programming Challenge

The second Lasso Programming Challenge is now closed and winners are Bil Corry and Johan Sölve. Thank you to everyone who submitted an answer. The Regular Expression Challenge ended August 15, 2007. Participants were challenged to solve eight useful problems using the regular expression tags within Lasso including formatting phone numbers, stripping white space, auto-linking URLs and email addresses, simple wiki-inspired formatting, and more.

FileMaker Server 9 Support
and Quick Start Guide

LassoSoft is pleased to announce official support for FileMaker Server 9 through Lasso Professional 8.5. Lasso can now connect directly to FileMaker Server 9 and does not require FileMaker Server Advanced. LassoSoft Acquires Lasso^TM Product Line From OmniPilot Software

Lasso^TM Summit

The Lasso Summit was held this March 2-4 at the Riverside Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The summit featured a keynote by Kyle Jessup, Fletcher Sandbeck, and Kerry Adams of LassoSoft. Featured speakers included Jonathon Guthrie, Jason Huck, Eric Landmann, and Jolle Carlestam. In addition, attendees were able to attend a crash course in the basics of lasso with Miles.
